CCS/MSP-FET: MSP-FET connect to a running MSP430

My MSP430 hardware must be for work in a closed case. Now I have the problem the software at the MSP430 stopped at a special condition on a unknown point. The question is: Is it possible to connect the debugger to a running MSP430FR5994 whithout to load a new software or reset the running software? I work with a MSP-FET430UIF. Is it possible with a other adapter? Which debug settings do I have to use?

    Hello Hardy,

    Start the debugger with a Manual Launch. Then in the Debugger Options, change the default behavior to not halt on connect. 

    Press the "Remember My Settings" so that the option is remembered for future debug session launches. Next time you do a manual launch and connect to the target, the debugger will not halt the target.
