Compiler/CCSTUDIO: Compilation failure for project. Gives fatal #6001 error saying .xml file not found

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hi everyone,

I am working with CCSv9.1 and Simplelink sdk v3.20. I needed a copy of project in the same workspace. Hence I tried copying a project and pasting it in the same workspace and changed the name when offered by the software before pasting it in the same workspace. I made necessary changes and tried building it when it gave an error saying .xml file not found. The name of the .xml file it searched for was the name of the new project. I tried Clean Project and tried building the project again but with no new results.

Can someone suggest what can be done?

Thanks in advance,

-Chan100

    Did you do this via the CCS IDE from the Project Explorer? Or did you manually do this outside of CCS (Windows Explorer copy)?

    Can you provide a screenshot of the errr?

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki,

    I sent you the compilation log via private message.  Let me narrate what I attempted

    I have a working project to which I had to make some changes. In the attempt of preserving the working project, I made a copy of the working project under a different name, in the same workspace and this is using CCS IDE (v9.1).

    Hope you can figure out something here.

    Thanks in advance,
