ChoonKeong,

The reason for this error is that the version of the SDK you are using requires an older verison of the TI Arm Compiler than the one you have. Specifically this SDK requires the 18.12 compiler. You likely have 20.2.

You can install this compiler by going to the help menu in CCS and selecting "Install Code Generation Compiler Tools". Then under TI Compiler Updates you can select the ARM 18.12.x compiler to install.

Thank you the explanation.

I am using the CCS on the cloud for testing the CC2640R2F evaluation kit.

Is there a way to select the older version of the compiler for cloud development ?

I can edit the osal.c to fix the error? where is the oscal.c ?

I understand that the BLE is always changing and updating. If there are last minute changes that need to be fix, I need to access to the library.

The cloud ccs does not have a option to change the compiler. Is there way to change the compiler ?

There is no way to change the compiler in CCS Cloud today. However the CC2640R2 SDK example projects specify to use the 18.12.5 compiler so CCS Cloud is supposed to use that compiler automatically. I am going to chase this down with the development team as the examples should work fine.

Looks like the necessary compiler is there in the Cloud but CCS Cloud is having trouble discovering it.

Good news. The fix is deployed for this.

One trick is that if the project is already in your cloud workspace it still uses 20.2. If you delete it and then import again from Resource Explorer then it will use 18.12.
