CCS/AWR1843BOOST: GUI issue in deployment mode - MRR lab

Hi, I am flashing the AWR1843BOOST EVK after rebuild the MRR lab with the file xwr18xx_mrr_demo (ccs_workspace_radar\mrr_18xx_mss\Debug), but in the GUI I only can see the points of the MRR cloud, when I check the USRR cloud option I don`t see anything, but in debug mode when I load the code I can see both clouds, the MRR and USRR, why?, I keep the original code

Hi Jairo, can you clarify the following for me?:

When you mean deployment mode, are you referring to flashing mrr_18xx_mss/Debug/xwr18xx_mrr_demo.bin file or are you trying to build the project under release profile in CCS (i.e. mrr_18xx_mss/Release/xwr18xx_mrr_demo.bin)?
Are you saying that the .xer4f and .xe674 files when loaded with CCS work fine but the .bin file has issues?

Sorry I accepted the answer by mistake,

1.- I am rebuilding the code from CCS and flashing the EVK and choosing the file from mrr_18xx_mss/Debug/xwr18xx_mrr_demo.bin , I dont see any "release" folder inside the project

2.- yes

I have tried with other labs like ODS,SRR and in debug or deployment mode works fine

Understood. Please disregard my question about the release profile. I have just tried rebuilding the project and the binary works fine for me. Could you see if the pre-built binary works for you?

Secondly, which toolbox are you using? If it is toolbox 3.2, SDK 3.5.0.4 is needed for compilation of the MRR lab. Could you confirm that it is installed on your machine and shows up as COM_TI_MMWAVE_SDK_INSTALL_DIR when you right click on both the project folders, go to properties->Resource->Linked Resources?

no, the pre-built does not works

yes, I have toolbox 3.2 and the SDK 3.5.0.4 is installed

Hi Jairo, Yes, I can see both the MRR and USRR point clouds in the GUI. This might be a GUI issue, if there is too much data to be displayed, the GUI could crash. Does the GUI continue to display MRR pointcloud after enabling the USRR point cloud? Could you just enable just the USRR point cloud and let me know if that works for you? Regards, Aayush

Hi, if I enable just the USRR point cloud I do not see anything, just the MRR point cloud works

Hi Jairo,

Here's a screenshot of the GUI with the prebuilt binary image file flashed on the 1843 device.

I could not reproduce the issue.

Hi, I have updated software packages in CCS and I have flashed the texas evk before program it, and now works, but I don`t know which of the two steps mentioned before was the solution
