CCS/CCSTUDIO: Is there a plan for CCS cloud to support Microsoft Edge browser?

Hi team,

As you may know, Chrome web store is not accessible in China, therefore Chinese users are not able to use CCS cloud with Chrome. Since the chromium based Microsoft Edge browser has been a popular replacement for Google chrome and has an increasing user base, I'm curious is there any plan to support this browser in the future? Or is there a way to use the existing TI cloud agent with Edge?

    Shuyang,

    Currently we don't officially support Edge but if it is going to be a popular browser in China we will need to take a look at that position.  The fact that it is now based on chromium should help.

    Looking at market share data I see a wide variety of results.  Is there a recommend source for this in China?

    I had searched as well.  I found some data that matched that and some that was very different. Thank you for providing a source in China.

    The team has started looking at what it would take to support Edge for users in China.  Given that it is based on Chromium we don't think it will be too much work and is something we should be able to enable early next year.  The team is still completing the evaluation but it looks promising.  One important element will be getting our browser extension hosted by the Microsoft Store so that it is accessible in China.
