Hi sir,

I am working on USB device, in the TI evaluation board it is working fine with the driver code that you had provided.

But, here the issue is when we are working on USB-2 device by using external pin connector (instead of USB-2 port as you provided in the evaluation board) without using the V-Bus concept, it is not detecting the USB device. It is showing the pop-up message as USB device is not detected.

Whether we need to change any configuration in the driver code?

Please, help us to solve this issue as early as possible.

Best Regards,

Praveena M

  • Hello,

The USB host has 15kohms pull-down resistors on both D+ and D- data lines, pulling them low when nothing is connected. The USB device has a 1.5kohms resistor on D- or D+ data line to pull D- or D+ high. When a device is connected to the host, the 1.5kohms resistor overpowers the 15kohms resistor and pulls that particular data line up, and the host controller uses this to notice that the device has been connected. This also tells the controller whether it is the low-speed device (if the D–data line is pulled up) or the full-speed device (if the D+ data line is pulled up).

If the USB host doesn't deliver power to device, an external power should be applied to the device board. If not, the USB controller on device is not powered up, and data line is not pulled high.
