hi,

i had a kit msp430g2231, but i did not install the file "setup_CCS_MC_Core_4.2.0.10018", which comes along with i kit. I, however, installed the file "setup_CCS_4.1.0.02002", which comes along with the kit tms320c5515. When i do project with msp430g2231, the code composer studio cannot debug.

this is the message: Error initializing emulator:
Unable to locate entry point for MSP430_GetNumberOfUsbIfs

plz show me way to fix it.

What license did you activate when you first started up CCS? For the C5515 EVM, you likely activated the "Free Bundle license" which allows you to use CCS for unlimited time for free with EVM, eZdsps etc. This license, however, will not work with MSP430.

For MSP430 devices, your free options are the following:
- install the code size limited version (limited to 16k code size) in a separate folder or
- activate the free eval license for 30 days with additional 90 day extension
