XDCtools + GRACE + CCS 4.2.1 error sh.exe stop working

Hi,

im using CCS 4.2.1 with GRACE + XDCtools under windows seven x64

and im trying to compile one program for my launchpad using the GRACE Tool, but im getting this error:
:

each time that i try build i get sh.exe error 3 times, i already tryed uninstall / install CSS + GRACE + XDCtools but still happening,
i also tryed to find one solution in google but without results, searching for the "sh.exe" i found it in XDCtools/bin folder, so i think this is an error from XDCtools...
but i have no idea of how i can fix it.. somebody can help me?

here the complete CCS log with errors:

thanks!
Gustavo

  • Gustavo,

I think this may be an issue with the compiler experiencing segmentation faults.  This is an issue on Windows 7.

If you update the compiler to 3.3.3 it should go away.

Go to help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install

Select to search for new features

Make sure the Code Generation Tools update site is selected

    Select the 4.3.3. MSP compiler.

Once it is installed you will need to change your project to use this compiler, as each project stores which compiler it uses.  Right click on your project.  Select Build Properties.  Select CCS Build on the left.  Then you should get a screen where you can change the compiler.

  • Hello John

thanks for the suggestion, but i didn't found this option at the update screen:

when i select the "Code Composer Updates" checkbox (most likely option) and click finish, returns "no updates avaliable"

PS: im using the "core edition" of the CCS (the one that comes with launchpad), does it matter?

    Thanks for the assistance

  • Gustavo,

I have seen this before on the core edition.

I will send you a private message with the download link for the compiler.

    Regards,

    John
