PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Unable to build Diagnostic Applications

Hi,

The BBB diags builds works for me in PRSDK 6.3: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/AM335X/06_03_00_106/index_FDS.html

On Windows, use gmake for the build:

gmake bbbAM335x_sd

                Thanks for your time. I followed the same procedure and yet I get the message

C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_17\packages\ti\board\diag>gmake bbbAM335x_sd
makefile:45: /ti/build/Rules.make: No such file or directory
gmake: *** No rule to make target '/ti/build/Rules.make'. Stop.

I could see the Rules.make file in the build directory

I have set the environment variables using those instructions only and this is what I get while running the pdksetupenv.bat

C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_17\packages>pdksetupenv

PDK_VERSION : 1_0_17
RULES_MAKE : C:/ti/pdk_am335x_1_0_17/packages/ti/build/Rules.make

However, when checking the values of RULES_MAKE, I get this:

C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_17\packages\ti\board\diag>set RULES
Environment variable RULES not defined

What should I do?

Hi Karthik,

That's unexpected. Are the displayed environment variables correct for your PRSDK installation?

Can you please try manually setting RULES_MAKE? I suggest also checking the other build environment variables to ensure they're properly defined.

To set RULES_MAKE, issue this at the windows command prompt:

# set RULES_MAKE=C:/ti/pdk_am335x_1_0_17/packages/ti/build/Rules.make

            I have checked all the environment variables and even set the RULES manually as you suggested. Even then, I could not resolve this.
