XDS2xx firmware update fail

Hi,

I have an anonimous xds2xx board like this one:

It works well but I am getting a warning from CCS9 that the xds2xx firmware is out of date every time I enter into debug mode.

The firmware is listed by "xds2xx>xds2xx_conf.exe get xds2xxu 0" as 1.0.0.6.

But when I try to update the firmware I receive no errors at all, but the readback continue to say 1.0.0.6.

I read and tried all hints that I found in e2e but no chance.

Is there a way to update the firmware in this board?

I have never seen that particular XDS200 before. I am guessing it is a knockoff or clone.

I would suggest trying to manually update the firmware

Open a command prompt

Go to <CCS Install dir>/ccs/ccs_base/common/uscif/xds2xx

Try running these commands:

xds2xx_conf.exe get xds2xxu 0

xds2xx_conf.exe update xds2xxu 0 xds200_firmware_v1009.bin

xds2xx_conf.exe program xds2xxu 0 xds2xx_cpld_v1009.xsvf

I am not sure if you can determine who manufactured this thing. If so they might have some ideas.
