Is the question about global problem, meaning that can && operands be used at all? Or is this related only to if-sentences?

Is the valid workaround to move the && operations out of if-sentence?

The compiler development team is taking a closer look at the related entry. I expect we will be able to describe the problem more precisely, so you have a better idea of when the problem may occur. Or, we may develop a workaround.

The workaround would be to use a nested if statement.

{}

}

Hello!

This would mean that we should change thousands of code lines when swapping from the currently used CGT7.3.x to CGT8.3,x, and is simply not doable. Are there any plans for the correction delivery?

Yes, we plan to correct it. The problem is still undergoing characterization. Thus, nothing more can be said at this time.

Here is a workaround to consider.

The problem code fragment is ...

	if (this->moduleActivated && (encoderChannel < this->channelCount))
	{
		if (this->fpgaPacket.status[encoderChannel].fields.markerStatus == 1)
		{
			markerStatus = true;
		}
	}

One workaround is to change it to ...

        bool activated = this->moduleActivated;
	
        if (activated && (encoderChannel < this->channelCount))
	{
		if (this->fpgaPacket.status[encoderChannel].fields.markerStatus == 1)
		{
			markerStatus = true;
		}
	}
