Hi,
CCS5 Version: 5.0.1.201012231000 Build id: N201012231000
I note that the CCS5 project file .cproject changes frequently when changes are made within the CCS5 environment to select different projects or configurations within those projects. I'm not sure these changes have any real benefit either, they are just user selections made during project development, rather than really modifying project parameters.
We find this a bit frustrating as .cproject is a file within our configuration management system. We made this file read only and have to unlock it before we can update it. Unfortunately, CCS5 ignores the attributes of the file and makes it read/write, and then updates it.
We really don't want .cproject to update unless we make a specific request.
Is there any way we can prevent CCS5 from from updating this file?
Regards, Tony.
Hi Tony,
Unfortunately, this looks to be a bug. I have filed a bug in our bug tracking system. SDSCM00039515.
Martin
Martin,
This issue(SDSCM00039515) is not completely fixed in CCSv5.1 GA release. If we switch from Debug mode to Release mode, I see that one of the project files gets updated.

Venkat
Venkat,
You are running into another known issue identified in 5.1. Please see this thread. It will be fixed in 5.1.1.
