Error message in CCS 4

I get the following error message (in a separate window)

 

An internal error occured during "Refreshing workspace",
Element not found /ProjectName/core0/Debug

1.      Can anyone explain what this error message means?

2.       What problem this error can cause

3.       How do I fix this error

    Ran,

    I don't think I've seen or heard of this message before. Could you provide some additional details to help us understand the issue:

    1) What version of CCS4 are you using? If using an older version could you try updating to the latest 4.2.1 and see if the issue persists?
    2) What is the operating system on your PC?
    3) What were you doing in CCS when this message appeared?
    4) Does creating a new workspace(and importing your project there or creating a new project there) make the error go away?

    If the above suggestions do not help, can you detail the steps needed to recreate this message?

    1. CCS 4.2.0.10018

    2. Windows PC

    3. I run multi-core application,  load each core separatly, and change teh console from one core to another

    4. Did not try yet

    Do you mean you just change the focus from one core to another within the CCS Debug view, and that triggers the error?

    What is the device you are using?

    We may not be able to debug the root cause without reproducing the issue first. But in searching on the web, I found a couple of references to similar messages triggered by Eclipse. If feasible, you may want to give CCSv5.1 a try and see if the issue still persists. CCS5 uses a much newer version of Eclipse and has a lot of bug fixes and improvements over the version of Eclipse in CCS4.
