Debuggger Initialization Error

I am trying to use a Spectrum xds510 USB emulator for loading the code on to the DSP. When I try to debug, I get the following error.

I am fairly new to CCS and don't realy understand what error this is or why I am getting it. Can anyone please help me out?

Which version of CCS are you using, and are you running CCS under Windows or Linux?

The reason is that the XDS510 is since the move to CCS being a 64-bit application the XDS510 USB debug probe is no longer supported. CCS: CCS V9 emulator support says:

Hi,

As mentioned in the previous responses, XDS510 USB debug probe is no longer supported on CCS as it is a 64bit application now. However you could use other emulators like XDS110, XDS100v3 etc.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I am wondering if there is any chance by which I can use XDS510 debug probe with this version of CCS (along the lines of maybe a third party application possibly)

Hi,

Sorry for the late response. In order to use XDS510, i am afraid, you'll have to use a prior version of CCS (CCS v7 perhaps).
