Hello,

is there somewhere a list with new features of compiler version 4.0.0 for MSP430 available?

It is very important for me to know if the new version supports long long data type.

MSP430 CGT 4.0.0 is scheduled to support 64-bit "long long int", 64-bit "double", and ELF object format. It should be available toward the end of the year.

Thank you for the information.

On this page (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Pending_Compiler_Releases) the 4.0.0 release is scheduled for 2011-07-08.

So this date is not valid anymore?

We expect the release to be later because feature requirements have been added. When those features have been finalized, that date will be udpated.
