Tina New Macro Definitian Problem and Pspice for TI Existing Model Doesn't Work

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM393LV, TLV7041

Dear All,

I have been using TINA for a long time but I am not very expert about defining a new model using spice library. I would like to use LM393LV in my design and there is not a model defined in Tina. I have defined third party transistors and diodes using new macro wizard and I tried to add LM393LV. I download spice files from ti.com and I tried to define the new macro in Tina.

I got an error message as " Redeclaration of identifier: VINRANGE_393. Line #224. .USBCKT VINRANGE_393 1 2 OUT VDD VSS"

I searched the error message on the web and some other people faced similar problem and I tried somethings but It didn't solved. I tried to update TINA but my version is the latest version and I thought TI doesn't support TINA anymore because the last version was released in 2018. After that I searched other software which would be up to date. I found PSpice for TI. I got the permission to download and I installed.

I tried to simulate a simple RC circuit powered from an AC signal source and it worked fine. Then, I added LM393LV and I designed a simple comparator circuit but it didn't work and I got an error message as "ERROR(ORPSIM-15461): Incorrect number of interface nodes for X_U1.X_U1.". I though my design was not fine and there may be a mistake. After that I run "lm393lv_pspice.dsn" which comes with Pspice folder from TI. It is a design template and I though it should work fine. I tried to simulate it but I got the same error message. It is strange because it should work without doing any adjustment it is a design template.

Anyway, I searched the error message and there is a message in TI forum in the following link.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-group/sim-hw-system-design/f/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-forum/952719/error-orpsim-15461-incorrect-number-of-interface-nodes-for-x_u1

However, this suggestion is not suitable for me. My circuit contains TI product models and I should not remove "nom_pspti.lib" but I did :) because I am hopeless and I would like to try. I got the same error.

Then I am tired and I would like to ask your support.

Please help me in this issue. I will simulate also some other TI products and I should solve the issue. If I can use TINA it would be perfect because I am familiar with it but I should move to Pspice for TI for the future and I hope you can solve the issue in Pspice for TI.

Best Regards
