Using EV2400 or USB-TO-GPIO interface instead of USB2ANY

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2605, EV2400, USB2ANY

Hello,

I am trying to use the DRV2605 EVM (DRV2605EVM-CT). The Haptic Control Console GUI documentation states that I should use the USB2ANY adapter, but since I already have the EV2400 and USB-TO-GPIO interfaces, which are essentially USB to i2c interfaces as well, can I use them instead?

Thank you

  • Hello,

I am not too familiar with how EV2400, I will need time to discuss with systems team whether or not this would be compatible with HCC GUI. I will get reply back by week's end.

  • Hello Again,

After looking through documentation I determined you cannot use an alternative to USB2ANY as Haptics Console is meant specifically to program firmware to a USB2ANY device in order to interact with the EVM. The firmware would not work with a different connection type.
