TIDA-00630: "device descriptor request failed"

The unit received does not function.

Tested:

- on 3 different host devices (Windows 10): HP Zbook Studio, Dell Inspiron, Microsoft surface Pro 7

- with 4 different USC-C cables (all functional with other devices)

- all cases both with and without external power source (Kensington travel charger K38080 @19V / max 4.75A)

Pop-up error message: "USB device not recognized, The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it."

Error message in the device manager: "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

I assume a DOA?

How to proceed?
