Does TIDA-010030 feature reverse polarity protection for a 48V battery pack inserted in reverse? It appears it does, but the implementation is different than is noted in Application Note SLUA796.

There are some circuits to protect reverse charger attached, but may not work if the battery is inserted in reverse. There is a diode across PACK side to limit the reverse voltage under a relative small value,there is a N-Channel MOSFET and around components to make sure DSG MOSFETs are off when PACK side voltage is minus. But please consider if other situations that may hit the max voltage limitations of all devices. SLUA796 is a good one as a reference.
