TIDA-01281: TIDA-01281

Part Number: TIDA-01281
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28033, TMS320F28035, , CONTROLSUITE

Hello Team.
I´m testing this pcb join the Tida-0951, but I don´t get to start the project.
I have the firmware loaded in the TMS320F28033 and also TMS320F28035 without problem, I had change the TMR and TMS pin in JTAG and put resistor 10K pull up, and I finally got it.
Now, the problem is that the Tida-01281 does´not work. I have checking the oscilator and there is any frecuency signal, I also have tried with another quartz and several TMS320F but the result is the same. I have not any signal from the TMS320F microcontroller.
At the moment I don´t need communications signals, only converter 48V to 300V
The question is: Do I need to make any changes to the software for it to work?
I´m very lost with this subject, I have tested all and the polarity of transfromer and diodes and power supply is correct.
Please any suggestions would be welcome.
Thank you very much.

Carlos

  • Hi Carlos,

Suggest you try an simple code with gpio operating.

I am thinking your internal osc didn't work.

  • Thanks for your reply. I think that the problem is related with void InitSysCtrl(void), but I don´t know how repair it. I have read several forums but I don´t found any solution

Error: cannot load from non-primitive location, is shown when I build the project.

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks again.

    Carlos

  • I am thinking, you may put the necessary library in somewhere not accessible, so that function can not be load to the project.

  • Hi Guo.

    Thanks for your support.
I don´t undesrtand, the firmware is original from TI, I don´t modified nothing. The libreries are include in the project, so the function must be accessible in the project. Does´nt anybody has this problem? I have seen the same message error in other TI projects.
    Awaiting your comments.
    Thank you very much.

  • Hi Carlos,

The design is old, maybe the library path is changed.

I even can not find the firmware. May I know where do you get the code of your testing?

  • Hi Guo.

The firmware is the original from web Texas Instrument. I can send you copy.
After you has been registered, you can download the firmware.

Old project you say....In the website, I can see the last date design guide actualized is Aug.06,2021. I don´t understand...
BTW, if you find the same error in the web:
Error: cannot load from non-primitive location, you will see that this error appears in more than one Texas project, regardless of the project date.

Maybe there is a more updated firmware or mine is corrupt.

    Awaiting your comments.

  • This is designed in 2017, and the last update is 'remove the link of firmware', because it is out of date.

  • Hi Guo.
    Thanks for your reply.
Due to the pandemic and the difficulty to acquiring components, I have been working on this project for about two year.
I have assambled five prototypes, I had to resolve hardware problems in the TI project, download CCS, Controlsuite, purchase DSP Emulator and now, when I try load firmware it turns out that the project has no technical support because is old.

    Your reply:

    Don´t help to much.

If the project is old, remove it from the website.
    Thank you very much.

  • Hi Carlos,

It is very very sorry for this situation.  I didn't know you have spent so long time on this project. I have ever studied this design, but I haven't much more info than those on website. Let me try my best to help you.

For the problem related to code compile, you can describe your problem in a new thread, and link it to CCS environment or C2000 part. Our C2000 team will help you to solve this kind of general problem.

If it related to the control algorithm or circuits design, we can discuss here.

We keep this design on the website till now, because it shows a method of ZV switching when operating from LV side to HV side, with some eff test data, and seems valuable to someone. We will consider your suggestion, and remove it from website after internal alignment.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Guo.

    Thanks again.
This seems like a serious answer to me.
Ok, I will try to found help in another thread as you recommended, although I have looked in several forums and I have not found solutions.
I hope get ahead project, I have spent too much time and money on this project and I can not abandon it now.
Thank you very much for your support.
