Cannot solve, ERROR(ORPSIM-15113):

Geoff Van Horn

I am trying to run a basic simulation on a Common Emitter amplifier circuit in order to get my feet wet with the simulation process. The circuit is built and I believe that I have successfully created a component for a 2N5089 transistor. I have also verified the circuit in LTSpice. I keep getting The following error,

ERROR(ORPSIM-15113): Model N5089 used by Q_Q1 is undefined

I have added the part and nom.lib libraries to the simulation configuration as global, shown below. What other steps am I possibly missing?

no this doesn't happen until I try and run a simulation. When creating the part the software seems to accept what I am doing and gives me no errors. Once I try and run the simulation the simulator tells me that the part is undefined.

Hi Geoff,

The symbol you created needs 2N5089. but the model name is AN5089.

You can change the model name to 2N5089 and try again:

Tried that and re-ran it still got the same error.
