Hello,
I have asked one of the original designers to take a look and see how the load share controller could be integrated. Please allow a couple of days for feedback.
Hello,
I suggest to use the method for a "high-side application for single power module", which employs the shunt current sense resistor on the high side, and does not interrupt the ground of each module. As seen on page 12 of the UCC29002 datasheet (SLUS495I - September 2001 - Revised May 2016), the "S-" terminal and "V-" terminal are tied together on the load (which corresponds to the ground of PMP8606). The output of PMP8606 (which is J6) is the "V+" terminal. Now, in order to add the "S+" terminal to PMP8606, you should interrupt the connection TP2-R20 (of the reference design) to C21-J3 and insert in series the 200 Ohm Rsense resistor visible in figure 6 of the datasheet. This application adds also a SB2 input, which enables the disconnect feature of the device, if needed. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Roberto
