Hi,

This is Dr. Malik from the United Arab Emirates University and I wish to design the hardware for the RF Sampling S-Band Radar Receiver. I would like to know what kind of antenna is suitable for that design?

Is it possible to buy all the components in one package such as ADC32RF45, TSW14J56EVM, and LMK04828 with a suitable antenna from TI?

I am looking forward to getting the answer.

  • Hi Dr. Malik,

    TIDA-00814 reference design is based on ADC32RF45EVM, which has 14 bit, 3-GSPS, dual channel analog to digital converter (ADC32RF45), clocking devices LMK04828 and LMX2582 for JESD204B complaint clock generation and associated power section on same board. Whereas TSW14J56EVM is an FPGA board, which is interface with ADC EVM. 

    ADC32RF45EVM has dual channel RF input connectors then you can have any type of antenna to these connector. I believe, TI doesn't have any recommendation on the antenna, as it can vary from customers application/range.

                                Thank you for your information and it's very much useful for me, I wish to know about the amplifier, and which amplifier will be suitable for this hardware design?

    Finally, what will be the cost of this system, including Amplifier, ADC3245RF, and TSW14J56EVM? Since wish to order to buy whole parts as a package.
