PSPICE-FOR-TI: How to simulate

Hi team,

I knew how to simulate the Monte Carlo method in my previous post, but I could not figure out how to simulate multiple parameters while varying them at the same time.
Please let me know how to simulate.

The Monte Carlo analysis should simultaneously vary all the components with tolerance specified.

My question was not about Monte Carlo.
I want to know how to change multiple parameters in one circuit at the same time.

Hi Ryu,

You can place a "PARAM" component and create a new parameter, then use this parameter for your component value (if that's what you want to sweep).

In this example, R1 and R2 are both defined via the variable "RT". You can sweep the value of "RT" and R1 / R2 will change together:

Hi Ryu,

I assume you know how to do a parametric sweep. If not, please watch PSpice for TI: Parametric Sweep Analysis | TI.com Video.

In the example I showed above, R1's value is RT which is defined by the global parameter. R2's value is 2*RT. In the sweep, you can just sweep RT.

Please also check out the User Guide, which can be found under Help -> PSpice for TI Help. Chapter 13 covers Monte Carlo analysis in detail. It also includes a few detailed examples with varying parameters.

Hi Ryu,

Well, component type is not the issue if you use a global parameter as in the example I shared. Bottom line is that you can only sweep 1 parameter which means the component values will maintain a fixed ratio if you want to vary both:
