We are a small specialty product company and we are looking for a domestically produced equivalent product to either an ESP32 CAM or Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W.
After contacting the TI Customer Support Center, we learned that TI does not make an exact alternative to either the ESP32 CAM or RPi Zero 2 W, but does have a TIDA-010224 "reference design" offering that might work for us.
I am not familiar with how your "reference design" works. I have downloaded all of the available material from the TIDA-010224 webpage, reviewed it and I have a few questions:
1) Is the TIDA-010224 an actual product that I can purchase samples of, or is it simply a reference benchmark?
2) What is unit pricing and the process of getting samples?
3) Can components be changed/added/deleted from the design?
4) Is their provision for additional programmable memory - 3MB is needed?
5) Can an LED flash be configured?
6) Does the unit have user definable Data/Analog Pins - we need them for external Faceplate LEDs, Switches and other possible uses?
7) Does the unit support a variety of lenses or just the one shown?
8) Can faster processors be used?
Hi Bob,
Apologies for the delay in response to this query.
This is a reference design to be used as a reference benchmark only. This is not available for sales.
You may use the design database as well example software to make modifications and upgrade according to your application.
