[FAQ] PSPICE-FOR-TI: How can I add all the PSpice for TI model libraries to the commercial version of PSpice/SPB/Orcad?

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI

I have the full version of Cadence and I would like to use the TI models without adding them manually. How can I do this?

    1. Launch Capture and open any design
    2. Launch PSpice Part Search from menu Place —PSpice Component —Search or using the PSpice Part Search toolbar icon as shown below

    3. Click Add Models in top right corner
    4. Click the Status slider. The status changes from Not Configured to Pending. Click OK.

    5. Close Capture and relaunch it. TI library models are configured successfully and this message can be viewed in the Session log tab as shown below
    6. Open any project and launch PSpice Part Search. The newly configured Texas Instruments model category is seen in PSpice Part Search pane.

    7. TI releases updates in the library database and these updates are prompted to the user in PSpice for TI. PSpice for TI automatically checks for library updates on every invocation and if updates are available, it processes the same. Once successfully processed, on next launch of PSpice for TI you are notified about the updates through the following message. You will need to launch PSpice for TI from time to time to check for updates. Orcad will see the library updates that are added by PSpice for TI.
