PMP40988: asked the more detail of ti' new reference designs about PMP40988

Part Number: PMP40988

Dear expert,

I noticed that TI came out with a new reference design  PMP40988,a zvs totem pole pfc converter.

However, there is very little information available. Can I get more details on this reference, like technical guide, C2000 code ,or buy an evaluation kit.

I noticed this design uses the Ti GaN's OC pin to indicate the ZVS condition and would like to know the specifics,.

And what is the role of Lb1, Lb2, And Cb?

Hope to get a reply soon.

Best regards.

  • Hi, Suiyang,

The material you are requesting on the ZVS management is highly competitive and we are not making it publicly available at this time. Please contact your TI sales representative to discuss your needs in more detail.

Regarding the topology Lb1, Lb2 and Cb allow us to split the boost inductor into 2 parts. A low frequency component and high frequency component. Cb essentially has the AC input voltage across it. The result in Lb1 and Lb2 only carry the AC current. Splitting the current into a low frequency and high frequency component allows us to better optimize the individual components for size and minimal loss.

    I hope that helps.

  • Hi, Brent

Thanks for your kingdly reply, i would not ask for the non-public content.

Would you mind providing more content about Lb1, Lb2 and Cb? Is there any relevant paper on this issue?

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards.
