In theory this can work, however any LLC derived topology has a large peak to RMS current ratio. With 20V on the input the resulting RMS currents at 2.5 kW would be huge. These large currents will make managing the losses difficult.
That aside the exact topology used is going to be a function of several factors
1. Vin/Vout range.
2. Required power flow in both directions
3. Size constraints.
4. Efficiency requirements.
5. Thermal solution.
All these factors will need to be analyzed to determine the best topology. My recommendation is to explore the merits of CLLC, DAB and phase shifted full bridge. My feeling is the PSFB might be better due to the lower ripple current. But I can't know for sure without doing the design.
