Dear Sir,
I use SwitcherPRO to design TPS61170 buck ckt, Vin=6~16V, Vo=36V@0.1A,
but get a error message, the input has something wrong,
please help to explain the error and how to fix it (maybe select another chip...)
Thanks
Jacob

Jacob,
The TPS61170 isn't really the problem here. The RMS current calculated will be very large for this application. I'm not sure if we have any controller that would meet this requirement. You can modify the design requirement slightly to get a working design. Either raise the value of your VinMin to say 9V, lower the output current requirement to say 0.075A or a combination of both. Otherwise you might need a multi device solution. more than one boost involved to meet the requirement. Thanks
