TIDA-010059: Regarding cupper thickness and TG value

Hi support team.

I ask you regarding cupper thickness of current sensing board and TG value for FR-4 as follow.

1. The board thickness of the current sensing board is 0.8mm, but the thickness of the copper thickness is 2oz when checking the Gerber data.

Isn't the board thickness 1.6mm? Or is it correct that the copper thickness is 1 oz or less?

2. What is the recommend value for high TG? TG150 or TG170?

Thanks for reaching out. please find my answers as follows:

1. I checked the stack files of TIDA-010059 and the thickness of board from design file is 0.95mm. So, considering the manufacturing process the board thickness should be around 1mm and the thickness of the copper is 2 oz (70µm).

2. TG value is stand for the temperature capability of the PCB. So higher TG value better thermal performance.

Is copper thickness the same 70um for all layer(4 layer) ?

Can I ask you just one more question?
If the thickness of the current sensing board is 1.6mm, will there be any structural problems?
The reason for the question is that I would like to design at 1.6mm, because making it about 1mm would increase the cost.

The thickness of current sensing board does not impact the assembly. please find the figure 16 in design guide.
