Hi Team,
PFC section,Totem pole with analog control IC is possible?
Please suggest any analog controller IC is available for Equivalent Digital controller Totem pole implementation.
Thanks

Hi Venkatesh,
For PFC controller selection, please refer to this guide: PFC Controller Step-by-Step Selection Guide. But totem pole topology is not included.
I don't suggest you use analog controller in totem pole topology. Digital controller is more flexible and scalable. For example, in automotive OBC systems, it always has a CLLLC topology behind the PFC, so PFC output voltage need to be regulated real-time because CLLLC has limited voltage regulation range. It cannot be achieved by analog devices. And digital control is easier to achieve functional safety.
I suggest you use cost-effective GEN3 digital controller. F280015x is enough to control PFC stage and is widely used in automotive systems.

Thank you forest fu, but i have no knowledge of coding, is there any way to do coding simple for this totem pole topology, using same gen3 digital controller
Thank you
Hi Venkatesh,
Please refer to this page: C2000WARE-DIGITALPOWER-SDK Software development kit (SDK) | TI.com. Install this SDK, it has a TIDA-01604 folder including all source code.
And in this user guide: 98.6% Efficiency, 6.6-kW Totem-Pole PFC Ref Design for HEV/EV Onboard Charger (Rev. B) (ti.com), please refer to chapter 3.2. It explains how to use source code.
