TIDA-010208: TIDA-010208

Part Number: TIDA-010208
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76952

Hi,

1) In Cell balancing, What's the function of each of these components : the capacitor C1 , diode D9 and D10 in the picture below ?

Also can I take them off my schematic if it doesn't cause any problem ?

2) what's the role of the diode D45 and D46 ?

thanks,

best regards,

Ahmed.

  • Ahmed,

    1) D9 and D10 are to limit the maximum positive and negative voltage of VC0 within the requirements.  If you don't see any risks, it is ok to remove them. I recommend to keep C1, it is from TI recommendation.

    2) D45 and D46 are to limit the maximum negative voltage to protect BQ76952 PACK, LD pins. Need to choose the spec based on your system.
