I was attempting to run a very dense Monte Carlo simulation that kept locking up. I could not get the simulation to end even after closing, reopening the program, or restarting the PC.

Still don't understand how that would require a reinstallation. 

Anyway, can you try running a smaller number of runs for your MC to see if it works before launching the full set?

The error will not allow me to reinstall the software. I am trying to run the PSpice-For-TI_setup.exe, which results in the above error, not allowing me to proceed with the installation.

You said you had trouble with Monte Carlo simulation, which means you already have the software installed. Why are you running PSpice-For-TI_setup.exe?

Anyway, would you please share this file?

I no longer have the software. I uninstalled it from this PC. I am attempting to install it again.

Hi Avery,

Please download this file and unzip it:

diagnostic.zip

You will get two files (cdsVbl.dll, VblInstallerTest.exe). Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

• Copy both files onto some directory on user machine
• Open cmd prompt and go to directory where files were copied
• Set your Windows environment variable "CDS_LIC_QA_TesT" to "vbl_qa.log"
• invoke "VblInstallerTest.exe <user-product-key>", replacing <user-product-key> with the key you used during installation.
  • If crash encountered and "VblInstallerTest.exe has stopped working" error box appears, choose "Close the program"
• Wait until previous command exits
• Collect vbl_qa.log from current folder
• Collect VBL_minidump_<pid>.dmp if was generated in current folder (can be 60+MB in size)

I was able to run the installer once more, but, received the (-48) error at the end along with the message "Unable to download license file".

when you say "I was able to run the installer once more", did you run "VblInstallerTest.exe <user-product-key>" or did you run "PSpice-For-TI_setup.exe"?

I ran PSpice-For-TI_setup.exe. The VblInstallerTest.exe never actually installed the software I just received a message "Registering device for below input -" and the variables  Product key, chwsUrl, Bundle name

it was for troubleshooting. Please share the generated vbl_qa.log and VBL_minidump_<pid>.dmp.

I will share the VBL_minidump but a new vbl_qa.log was not generated.
