SETUP PSPICE HIERARCHY

New to PSPICE. I just created a new design schematic (File, New, Design). Attached.

But when I try to add a Voltage Marker, it says ERROR MARKER CANNOT BE PLACED ON A PAGE THAT IS NOT WITHIN THE CURRENT HIERARCHY

And when I try to run the simulation, it says CURRENT SCHEMATIC THAT YOU ARE EDITING IS NOT IN THE SIMULATION HIERARCHY.

I followed the video tutorial step for step, but apparently there are other setup requirements.

Can someone please point to a video tutorial that describes my issue?

Please point to a step-by-step tutorial for setting up "Current Hierarchy" and "Simulation Hierarchy"

Hi John,

Are you able to load a TI reference design (associated with most parts) and run a simulation on that? Or does it give the same error.

I just loaded the TI "Model Test Circuit" for LME49600. I'm able to add Voltage Markers and run a stock simulation. So, I guess I should have started with the "Model Test Circuit" and then built my desired circuit around that? I will try it. Thanks!

John,

That's definitiely a short-cut that I use. It can also help in debugging your setup if the circuit that you want looks nothing like your actual application.

Thanks. Yes, using the TI reference design as a base, and building my schematic around it, I'm able to do all the simulations!

JC Zhu, thanks for that. I did not do these steps. They were not in the TI set-up video.
