PMP40801: Is there a way to make the PMP40801.4 to also have a sink function

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if it were possible to see the schematic of the PMP40801.4. I was also wondering if it were possible to use the GUI to operate this design to act like a sink as well as output at least 65W.

And the TPS65987 is able to work as sink, it is a DRP device. But when it work as sink it will not able to provide the power.

Thank you for reaching out. I am aware that when the device is operating as s sink it can't simultaneously provide power. My question goes to if it were to be possible to use the same schematic and just configure the GUI differently so that it can act as a DRP device.

Hi Juan,

And I think it should be able to support DRP, because the TPS65987 EVM is almost the same structure, and TPS65987EVM is able to support DRP.

So I think you can reach out to the EVM link and request the EVM to do the evaluation: the https://www.ti.com/tool/TPS65987EVM
