TIDA-01606: Single split phase for 240V generation

Hello,

Is it possible to use TIDA-01606 reference design to generate AC to a single split phase 240V @ 60 Hz grid?

The existing reference design is for 3 phase, but I need a guideline on how to make the modification to this reference design?

Is there an existing similar design intended for single phase already?

Hi Mario,

theoretically if you use two phases of the reference design by having duty cycles shifted 180 degree you should be able to run it.

You will need for sure to take care of the electrolytic caps since there will be an important 120 Hz ripple.

Unfortunately, there is no existing single phase three level converter reference design.
