Issue with OMAP-L138EZWTA3

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Curerntly, our product has a mainboard which used the following components: OMAP-L138ZWTA3 and OMAP-L138BZWTA3

However, theses components became obsolete. Then, we started to buy the component OMAP-L138EZWTA3.

Using this new component, our mainboard will not power up anymore.

We identified the only difference from these components is the silicion revision.

Could Engineering team support us?

Is anything else different on these components besides silicon revision?

Thanks,

Thiago Luz

  • Hello Thiago Luz,

    Thank you for the query.

Have you reviewed the data sheet and the errata for any differences before ordering?

    I will check internally.

Can you help me understand the source of ordering to eliminate issues related to ordering.

Did you also check on multiple devices to eliminate issues related to assembly.

  • Hello Thiago Luz,

Refer below additional queries i received from our device expert:

    • Has the customer  provided the complete part number.  Is there a training E. ie OMAP-L138EZWTA3E?  If yes then this is a secure boot device, the board will not boot with a std image.
    • Are there any other board/component changes?
    • Are there any advisories in the Silicon Errata for the newer revision that impact their board?
    • Which processor fails to boot?
    • What is the boot peripheral?  Is a boot attempted?

    Regards,

    Sreenivasa
