Hi,

We are designing a docking station. This reference design seems suitable but being from 2016 raise some concerns about availability. I would appreciate if you can mention some newer components as a starting point for my search. Dock Requirements:

1x USBC port to source power (PD3) to a tablet host and connect peripherals in docking station.

3x USBA ports

1x DisplayPort (LVDS) output, for the tablet's secondary screen.

1x Ethernet port (to provide connectivity to tablet)

Dock's Power input 11-17VDC barrel jack.

Hi,

We do not recommend using this dock reference design as the PD controller is NRND and this reference design will be removed soon.

I think TPS65987D may be a good choice for you since you are only looking for 1 Type-C port. You can refer to the TPS65987D EVM for block diagram detail

For USBA port, you will want to go to this page (https://www.ti.com/power-management/usb-power-switches-charging-port-controllers/overview.html) to select the appropriate controller you want.

You will need a hub controller as this a dock so you will want to check out this page (www.ti.com/.../overview.html)
