TIDA-01606: Relay and fuse design, Also Fans..

Part Number: TIDA-01606

Dear All,,

I am working with the TIDA-01606 for my research.

I have two quesitons about this reference design.

1) Fuse and relay.

When you see the below graph, there is relay and fuse.

But I am not sure how it can prevent from the large current.

Based on my understanding , when the relay is connected and large current happend, the fuse might be disconnedted but the relay is still connected.

So I think the circuit would have damage...

Could you explain it?

2) Fans.

When you see the below circuit, it looks like two fans.

But when I saw the 3D, there are three Fans.

Can you explain what happend?

Thank you for reading my questions,

Best regards,

  • Hi Mingi,

resistors and relays are used for precharging circuit of the DC link. There is no intention to use them as fuses.

In general you can connect three fans to the reference design. you can use also one connector to run three fans. Or you can use one connector for two fans and another one for one fan.

    Thanks

    Best Regards
