TIDA-050000: AEC-Q100 Alternative Parts

Part Number: TIDA-050000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS568215, , TPS5120-Q1, TPS51220A-Q1, TPS62902-Q1

Looking over the TIDA-050000 design, I didn't see an AEC-Q100 suggested part to use in place of TPS568215. Is there an AEC-Q100 certified part available to replace this?

Also, I notice that the design show that 6.1A will be drawn from this part. How was this current draw calculated? Using XPE, I see a draw of 1.112A for the XQ7A200T.

How many Artix-7 FPGA's is the TIDA-050000 design set up to power? Is this design for one FPGA?

Is there a different design recommendation for powering up to 6 Artix-7 FPGA's?

  • Hello,

I do not think there is Q100 that is direct replacement of this part.  There is the TPS62872 this is a Low VIN device.

There is also a controller such as TPS5120-Q1, TPS51220A-Q1

    thanks

  • Hi Zachary,

As Tahar mentioned TPS6287x-Q1 family can be used if 6.1A is required at the output. The 6.1A looks to be the max current that can be drawn and depending on the XPE, if you confirm a 1.112A draw then a lower current device like TPS62902-Q1 can also be used. I have contacted the app note author on the assumptions and if I get any additional info I can let you know. But, it looks like the design is for single FPGA and will need to duplicated for more FPGAs. Let us know if TPS6287x-Q1 or TPS62902-Q1 fits the needs and if you have any questions on those.

    Thanks,
    Amod
