Hi Alex,
Thanks for checking to see if this problem had occurred in the past.
Did you follow Jackie's suggestions?
Can you please confirm that the file exists at C:\Users\vinayvari\AppData\Roaming\Cadence\VBL\TI_PSpice_174\license\license.txt ?
Please also ensure that you have restarted your computer and that PSpice for TI is able to access the internet. It could be an issue with proxy or VPN, so please try with proxy/VPN disabled.
What was the result? It's mostly likely a Prox/VPN issue. Local business firewalls can interfere with getting the license or downloading the software for installation.

The first problem was that the installation (without admin privileges) didn't terminate because of the absence of MFC140.DLL and MSVCR110.dll, so I reinstalled these files (as admin):
- Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015
- Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4
Those error went away, but I remained with this one:
(an empty license file).
error ( LMC-02955)
FOLDER: %APPDATA%\Roaming\Cadence\VBL\TI_PSpice_174\license\license.txt
So, is there a way to use the 'serial number' without installing everything again, which is a long process that is not guaranteed to be successful?
Alex,
If you installed under admin, then the license is associated with the admin account, not your account.
You should be able to run under admin, which might not be optimal for you.
If you can get Visual C++ installed under you account, you should be able to install under your account.
You have 3 different installations per license. When that is exceeded, you'll need to have us disable the machines that you no longer need.

Finally, I managed to reinstall TI-Spice, without administrator privileges:
The main problem was the absence of redistributable Visual C++ material, which required administrator rights. After installing them as an administrator, everything went in the right direction, in the user space.
However, the error messages could have been much more self-explanatory, and the installer could have checked the missing files in advance, indicating the actions to be taken before the actual installation, since it could not be completed successfully.
Thanx
