Hello,

Starting from the TIDA020047 reference board, I would like to improve the field of view (FOV) and resolution on the elevation axe. I'm seeking your input on the antenna placement, as described here.

Could you please advise if it's possible to adjust the antenna's placement without affecting the radar's radiation or any other effects?

Hi Amine,

I will check with our radar designer. Typically antenna design is a customer or 3rd party design item.

Hi Amine,

I would recommend running EM far field simulation of your final design to check for radiation pattern and coupling between antenna's. When high gain antenna's placed very close to each other the coupling between adjacent antenna's will increase. So, it is important to simulate and validate your design.

In case of using my hardware in TDM mode, do Ireally need to do such simulation to chek antenna polarization ?

Yes I would check far field radiation pattern and coupling between the antennas.
