PSPICE-FOR-TI: Installation Issue

Hi Kok,

Can you share the intallation log file.

You should be able to find it at the following path:

%Appdata%\Cadence\PSpiceTIInstall\cdsPspiceTIlog.txt

e.g.
C:\Users\DavidLarkin\AppData\Roaming\Cadence\PSpiceTIInstall

It's also possible that it is a security issue.
If you want, please also try the following:

1.   Open Windows Control Panel->Administrative tools->Local Security Policy

2.   On the left hand side column, select Local Policies->Security Options

3.   On the right hand side column, select System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing. Double click on this and set it to disabled if it is enabled.

4.   Restart the machine and perform installation again.

It is default at 'Disabled' in 'System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing' as captured below.

The txt file does not exist in my %Appdata%\Cadence\PSpiceTIInstall folder as captured below.

Hi Kok, 

Please try running TIPSpice.exe and then look at the directory again and see if additonal files have shown up.

We're looking for PSpice4TI_setup.exe among others.

There is no additional file shown up after double-clicking TIPSpice.exe. What is the difference between TIPSpice.exe and PSpice-For-TI_setup.exe?

There was a previous instance of this behavior and running TIPSpice.exe seemed to resolve it.

Since that didn't work for you, I'll dig a little deeper and get back to you.

Can you open a CMD window and run TIPSpice.exe there. If an error message is generated, you may be able to capture it there.

There is no error message in Command Prompt and in C:\Users\QHK438\AppData\Roaming\Cadence\PSpiceTIInstall folder.
