TIDA-01606: Gate driver board

Dear TI members,

I have a question about gate driver board of TIDA-01606.

I made the same gate driver using reference design as TIDA-01606.

And I powered it up.

And the two green light and one red light turned on(D401, D402, and D403)

and then D201,D102 and D101 are turned on and off very quickly when I applied the power.

Is it normal?

Could you explain the meaning of the light?

    Hi Mingi,

    I kindly would like to ask you if you have provided 24 V to the board by using a TIDA 01606 board or you just provide it externally.

    Are D401, D402, D403 presenting the same issue when you turn on?

    1) 24V is applied form the board.

    However, when you see the layout, it is power(main) board bypass the 24V to the gate driver.

    Does it have a difference?

    2) D401, D402, and D403 are just turned on.

    I am not sure that is the issue or not.

    When I checked the layout, D401 and D402 lights are related to the power supply

    and D403 looks like some falut. 

    But I am not 100% sure.

    and then D201,D102 and D101 ....

    I am not sure why those lights turned on and off very quickly when I powered up.

    Hi Mingi,

    I have the same problem in the past with some 24 V power supplies.

    Please try to change the 24 V supply with another one.

    Could you explain more about the issue?

    What was the issue in your case?

    How is the difference when you use different power supply?

    the problem is coming from the fact that if the power supply that you are using is not enough strong to keep the voltage controlled because he cannot handle the inrush current the DCDC converter will see a voltage drop which will bring it to protection.
