PSPICE-FOR-TI: Model editor

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI

Hi All,

I have some questions about Pspice-for-TI.

- Can I create a model editor?
- I would like to use a model from another company other than TI. Is it possible to use it?
- Can I use the model editor created with Pspice for TI for LT spice?
- Is it possible for one user to install on two PCs?

Best Regards,
Ishiwata

  • Hi Ishiwata,

You can import models. We've got some videos that detail how to do that. These are linked in the tool, or found separately at PSPICE-FOR-TI Simulation tool | TI.com

Just scroll down and you'll find the videos.

You can have up to 3 separate installations of this tool. So yes, you can install on 2 PCs.

The model editor feature is enabled for the full commercial version, SPB that Cadence offers. This tool will not create models for LT Spice.

However, LTSpice can import unencrypted PSpice models usually without any problems.

If you choose to go that route, you can export models out of PSpice for TI.

    Regards,

    David

  • Hi David,

Thank you for your reply and answer.

Your answer is that you can install up to 3 devices with one access key, but a customer has reported that the terms and conditions state that it can only be installed on 1 device.
which one is correct? 3 or 1?

  • Hi Shuji,

According to the FAQ on E2E, tools:

Each myTI login may get 1 license which is good for installations on up to 3 computers.
