Time Settings Units Problem, Simulator Unusable, Displays in nS not mS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28C54

I noticed that the time scale displays in nS not mS. I have attached the "Run to Time Settings set to 50mS (Settings 2). The initial units displays 1000nS (Settings1). I simulated a simple circuit (Circuit 1) with PSPICE Components to understand the units issue. I see the time scale ends in 50nS not 50mS.

Anyone else see this bug in the simulator? I want to simulate the UCC28C54 IC for a  new flyback design  but I don't trust the simulator.

Appreciate some feedback,

Thanks

Jim

  • Hi James,

While it doesn't hurt anything, you don't need the 's' in the time field for duration. 1000n, 1u, 50m are fine.

For a sim time of 1u (1000ns), we just see a plot that goes to 1us. Not the 50ms plot that you show.

Just to cover the obvious, you did click run sim again after changing the time scale. Right?

And the plot looks linear as this is a small portion of a sinusoid in the linear region.

  • Hi Jim,

Thanks for keeping this open. I think I had opened a similar project and not the UCC28C54. That part is missing the reference design.

I've asked Mike to take a look at this as the person who release the model is not with TI any longer.
