TINA-TI: Errors importing PSPICE macro from EPC library

Part Number: TINA-TI

Hi -

I'm struggling to import any of the pspice macros from EPC (https://epc-co.com/epc/design-support/device-models )  into TINA.

I particularly want to model the part EPC2204A

Depending on what I try, I get various errors such as: invalid numeric format, missing syntax element

Thanks

David

  • Hello David,

Thank you for your inquiry about TINA.  Since TINA is a DesignSoft/TINA program, questions are handled by using the DesignSoft support page: http://www.tina.com/technical-support/  .

The DesignSoft/TINA team is very helpful and this is the most direct way for TINA support.  Please advise by clicking the This resolved my Issue  button when the question has been answered.

    Regards,

    ~Leonard

  • I'm using TINA-TI (which is a TI variant of tina i belive), and previous technical queries about it have been supported on this forum

  • Hi David,

I'll echo Leonard's suggestion. Reach out to DesignSoft. Their Spice is very compatible with PSpice, but does have some differences. These could be causing the problem and DesignSoft should be able to provide guidance.

The other option is to download PSpice for TI. https://www.ti.com/tool/PSPICE-FOR-TI

    Regards,

    David

  • you're right, DesignSoft were very quick to help.  I was concerned because their technical support interface suggests its for paid-for products (requesting details of order number etc), and not necessarily for the TI version of TINA.
