PSPICE for TI ERROR(ORPSIM-16583): when running circuit .op (dc bias) command

Hi Roger,

You could use an ideal opamp to avoid this initially. I'm sure that you want the actual behavior modeled, but if they are secondary to the design, you could get close to your final design using the ideal, and then at the end, place the imported models and monitor the important signals.

You can turn the markers on and off. That way, you can monitor 4 at a time, and run simulations between each setting to see the different outputs.

You can save those outputs as well, so that when they're imported back into the simulation window, you can compare and overlap.

Well first, I don't have any markers.  This is a DC/.op bias run, about as basic as basic gets.  Second, I could jump through hoops to get answers from PSPICE for TI but the only reason that I'm using PSPICE for TI is that the op amp models that I'm forced to use are encrypted for this application.  That will be remedied in a week or so then I can then use any SPICE to get answers and so PSPICE for TI just isn't worth it.  I am sort of wondering why anyone who doesn't have to, would use this application as it is such a pain.  Thanks.

Thank you for your honesty. 

We've worked with Cadence to provide a version of their commercial product. In order to protect their investment, there were certain limitations placed on the functionality of PSpice for TI versus the commercial SPB.

DC and Noise analysis got swept up in that as a by-product. I've escallated this to see what can be done because the WHOLE point of offering PSpice for TI is to make it easier, not harder or more frustrating.  If we're missing that, then what are we doing?

Hi Roger,

I've heard back from Cadence. They say that Bais point analysis (.OP) works fine without any markers and provided sim output as evidence.

Would it be possible for you to archive your project, including all libraries and post here? I'd like to figure out what's causing your problem given what Cadence has asserted.
