Hi Piyush,
Can you post the error message here?
In the bottom of the box, Insert->Image/Video/File.
David
Thanks. I've got another just like this.
Did you just upgrade PSpice for TI? The license is looking for 231, not the older 174.
Also, please check to see if you have a license at the following location (text file)
C:\Users\<%User_Profile%>\AppData\Roaming\Cadence\VBL\TI_PSpice_231\license
David
Thanks David,
I did upgrade the PSPICE-TI and started getting this error, so I ordered the latest version and followed the steps as per the approval email. I will check license at the specified location and get back to you, Sorry I don't have admin rights to user folder.
Hi Piyush,
Which folder do you not have rights to?
It shouldn't be your license folder.
I just had another user with a similar issue. Uninstalling, re-booting, and then re-installing worked for him.
Please give that a try,
David
Hi David,
Thanks for the information. Yes I did follow uninstalling- Reboot-Install again before opening this thread. I have checked the location mentioned an d. txt file is at specified location.
The tool is working when i work on site but doesn't get connected when I connect office network through VPN.
Ah, I think that's the key. VPN can mess up some proxy settings. Usually that's just during install though, not running the program.
Let me follow up on that.
David
Sounds like some IT work there. Some VPN firewall/security setting is interferring.
For further debug from our end, I'd need you to do the following:
Setup environment variable (for your account as you might not have system level).
CDS_LIC_QA_TesT, set value to c:\cadence\qalog.txt
After setting this variable, invoke the tool. If you get a Licensing error, send the qalog.txt file to Customer Support. The qalog.txt file can grow quite large over time. Hence, it is best to unset the variable when your problem is solved.
Note: Do not set this variable in c:\ drive as you may not have write permission there and the file will not get created. Please set it either in c:\cadence or in a different drive like d:\

Hi David,
Thanks for the guideline. I did follow the steps but problem persist, i have attached log file here. SW works well when i am at onsite, but throws an error when login through VPN.
Unable to attach a log file here.
Regards
Piyush
Hi Piyush,
Did you try to upload using Insert -> Image/Video/File?
David
Hi Piyush,
SInce it works offsite, and works without VPN I don't have a satisfactory answer for you.
You could turn off VPN to run it. Or, contact your IT to help resolve the VPN issue.
