TIDA-01634: Altium Files Requested

Hi TI Team:

I am looking for the CAD database (Altium Designer) for this evaluation board. My customer is looking to use this specific evaluation board, but the manufacturability of the design has slightly smaller features than they want. They are hoping to use this product in their future design, but need the design files modified before doing so. I have offered the SNOR026 design as an alternate that uses the same device, but they are adamant that it must be the TIDA-01634.

I see from the gerber files that it was designed in Altium. They are asking for my team to do a gerber conversion into Altium Designer, so the first stop is to see if we can acquire the native Altium design files.

On the website, I can access only the Altium outjob files, but not the pcbdoc file. I this something that you can send us for further evaluation?

    Hello Tony,

    I contacted the engineer who designed the TIDA-01634 and researched to find the design files. I was not able to find the files for this particular reference design. 

    The engineer who designed this reference design referred us to the LMG1210EVM-012 which does have the design files available.

    Unfortunately this does not because the hardware design specific to this request is the TIDA-01634 design, and our customer is not flexible on this. Our approach will be to do a gerber to Altium conversion unfortunately.

    Hi Tony,

    I looked at another avenue, for the altium design file location and that one came up blank as well. I have never tried to do a gerber file back to altium design file conversion, and honestly I am not sure if our version of software would support such.

    I will reach out and see if that is even a possibility, and also reach out to see what other repository the design files may be located. 

    This will likely take a few days as I will have to reach out to various resources. I have already exhausted the "easy" avenues.

    No need. My team specializes in this, but it is always better if we have the original data, and we can save our customer some time and funds in their build.

    Hi Tony, thanks for confirming. Normally I expect to find the files for Altium designs in a drive location that also has EVM file data, in different folders. For some reason, the TIDA's on that drive seemed like they were not uploaded beyond a certain time frame.

    I am glad you confirmed you can support, although not the preferred method. I will go head and close this thread based on your comment.
